CONWAY, SC – Coastal Carolina University announced a new multi-year partnership agreement an apparel company Monday.
According to a press release from CCU, Under Armour will become the official outfitter for Chanticleer Athletics beginning July 1, 2016.
As part of the multi-year agreement Under Armour will provide on-field and training gear for Coastal’s 19 varsity sports and its 460 student-athletes. Additionally, Under Armour will outfit members of the athletic department including coaches and staff. The agreement marks the first time Coastal Carolina Department of Athletics will have the same outfitter for its entire sports programs.
“This is a monumental partnership, especially as we make the transition to the Sun Belt Conference this summer and the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision,” Hogue said. “Under Armour has established one of the world’s most impressive brands and we are excited to become a part of its impressive client roster. They have demonstrated a strong prioritized commitment to Chanticleer Athletics and will play a vital role in helping our student-athletes achieve individual and team excellence.”
CCU joins the growing Under Armour roster of NCAA partners that includes the University of Wisconsin, University of Notre Dame, Naval Academy Athletic Association, University of Maryland, Texas Tech University, Northwestern University, University of Cincinnati, Boston College, University of Utah, University of South Carolina and Auburn University, the release stated.
