Caught with his pants down: Canadian plumber’s toilet truck logo goes viral

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ontario  – Nick Huckson, in a manner of speaking, has gotten caught with his pants down.

And it has turned out to be a brilliant marketing tool for a new plumbing business he started just six weeks ago in Sault Ste. Marie.

Huckson’s grandfather, also a plumber, gave him the idea of putting a logo on the driver’s side door of his truck that appears to show him, well, taking care of business.

“My phone hasn’t stopped ringing,” Huckson, 25, owner of The Sault’s Plumber, tells KWQC.

“I was just hoping to get some attention here locally. I had no idea the photo would go viral.”

Classic Signs, Inc. made Huckson’s odd request a reality, and a photo of the finished design which appears to show him on the toilet when he is driving has been shared thousands of times in Canada and the U.S.

That attention led to his getting national exposure on NBC’s Today show on Aug.25.

He has received thousands of comments and emails, some from as far away as London.

“I wanted a design for my truck that would be memorable, something that would make me stand out from the other plumbing businesses,” Huckson says. “Had no idea it would lead to all this!”
