FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A woman’s purse was stolen by a brazen thief as she was vacuuming her car in Fayetteville, police say.

The incident happened on August 12 at a business along the 1100 block of Bragg Blvd., according to Fayetteville Police.

The quick theft happened as the thief was at a second car at the vacuum area while the woman was inside her car cleaning it, according to video from the scene.

The man in a red shirt stood nearby looking around before he went around the vacuuming equipment, ducked into the woman’s open car door and grabbed a purse, the video shows.

The thief then ran back to his car and another man jumped into the thief’s silver car and the pair sped off –- just as the woman victim walked from her car to find out what happened, according to the video.

Police said they need help identifying either of the men involved in the incident.
