FLORENCE, SC – Carolinas Hospital System and the American Lung Association of South Carolina have joined together to offer a new benefit for those living with a chronic lung disease like COPD, pulmonary fibrosis or lung cancer. Starting on Thursday, April 20, the hospital will be offering a support group called the Better Breathers Club. Led by a pulmonologist and respiratory therapist, these regularly scheduled meetings will provide an opportunity to learn ways to better cope with COPD while getting the support of others who share in your experiences.
The club meets from 12:00 pm – 1:30 every third Thursday of the month pm at the Floyd Conference Center, 1592 Freedom Blvd in Florence. That’s located on the main campus of Carolinas Hospital System.
