Florence, SC – The Carolina Havoc, 2018 defending champion of the American Arena League (AAL) have made the move to the Florence Center in Florence, South Carolina and will begin play in the spring of 2019. The former Atlanta Havoc played at the Buford Arena last season in Buford, Georgia. They are owned by Heath Tate, Chris Duffy and Kelli Powers. The team will be led by their general manager and Head Coach Josh Resignalo.
“Coach Res,” a former United States Marine, has been in and around the Indoor and Arena game for over 10 years. He was recently named General Manager of the Year by the AAL. He also led the Havoc’s offense as Offensive Coordinator.
Resignalo said of the move, “We want to first thank all of our great fans in Buford. The Havoc ninth Man played a pivotal role for us not only in the arena but in the community as well. As we make this move to Florence, we want to represent the Pee Dee and the City of Florence in a first-class manner. Our players will be aggressive on the field and gentlemen off it. The citizens of Florence and the Pee Dee will be proud to call the Havoc their own. We have a very tough task ahead of us in defending the 2018 championship this upcoming season. We feel that the team we are going to put on the field will do that and more.
“In the community, we will be heavily involved in youth initiatives that will tie our organization to it for years to come. We need everyone in the Pee Dee to get behind their Havoc and support us in every way possible.”
Season ticket information will be made available soon. All Havoc personnel in attendance will be available for questions and interviews along with a catered reception immediately following the conclusion of the news conference.
