Fewer than one in five of us are eating enough fruits and vegetables. That’s according to researchers at the CDC. They say adults should aim for at least one-and-a-half cups of fruit and two to three cups of veggies every day to help protect against heart disease, stroke, and cancers. Doctors at Johns Hopkins say seriously ill patients and their families need to improve communication when it comes to end-of-life care. Their survey of nearly 2,000 families found that without living wills or discussions ahead of time.. patients were much more likely to face aggressive cancer treatments at the end.
