MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Police found a burglary suspect hiding under a victim’s bed, according to reports.

It happened in the 7000 block of N. Ocean Blvd in MyrtleBeach on Wednesday.

According to an incident report, the suspect, Marvin McElveen, 47, of Myrtle Beach, covered the peephole of the victim’s door and knocked.

The victim told police she answered the door and McElveen punched her in the face several times causing her nose to bleed and injuring her leg.

The victim was able to escape and call police.

According to the incident report, the responding officer and a property manager found McElveen hiding under the victim’s bed.

The report also says McElveen was in possession of the victim’s car keys.

The victim told police McElveen does not live at the location and was not staying there.

McElveen is charged with Burglary First Degree.
