Kim Hardee of Dilly Beans Cafe and Catering in Conway stopped by to make Shrimp and grits.

Ingredients needed:

Grits,

4 tablespoons of butter,

1/3 cup of chopped onions,

1/3 Cup of chopped sausage,

1/3 Cup of chopped red peppers,

1 tablespoon of lobster stock,

1/2 lb of shrimp,

2 tablespoons of flour,

1/2 half cup of heavy whipping cream.

Cook 2 cups of quick grits with a mixture of water milk or heavy cream and salt for at least 30 minutes.

Keeping in mind that grits thicken, make sure to have enough liquid in the pot and constantly stir.

In a saute pan put 4 tablespoons of salted butter add onions peppers sausage and shrimp until onions are translucent.

Add flour and lobster stock then add heavy whipping cream.

You should be cooking on medium heat.

Constantly stir the cream do not overcook or it will separate. Pour over grits and enjoy!
