Women across the Pee Dee came Tuesday to help end breast cancer by getting fitted for a bra.
Carolinas Hospital System’s “Healthy Woman” program teamed up with retailer Belk for its “Fit for the Cure” campaign.
Bra experts measured women to help them find their perfect fit. Healthy Woman coordinator, Ashley Hobbs, said “A lot of people don’t really realize that they are not wearing the correct size bra. So it helps boost your self confidence when you actually have the correct size bra, it can help your posture, it can help a lot of other things.”
For each free fitting, Belk donated four dollars to cancer research. A bra purchase added another four dollar donation from Wacoal.
