MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Wednesday night the Boys and Girls Club of the Grand Strand held their Champions for Youth Dinner Celebration near the Market Common.
The event was held at the Horry Georgetown Technical College Conference Center and emceed by former News13 anchor and reporter Jonee Lewis.
The organization presented the Champions for Youth Award to CCU Head Baseball Coach Gary Gilmore who has shown support for the many youth programs that promote health, wellness and literacy in children in the area.
During the dinner event, members of the community heard testimonials from teen members of how the Boys & Girls Club has influenced their lives and enjoyed live entertainment from a vocal ensemble made up of two members of the club.
