PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WBTW) – Police in Pawleys Island are hoping the community can help after a box of kittens was tossed into a creek near the South Causeway.

A tweet from Pawleys Island police says someone threw a box holding five kittens into the creek off the South Causeway. Two of the kittens got away from the officer into the marsh, but three kittens were rescued.

The kittens were taken to St. Francis Animal Shelter. Anyone with information as to where the kittens came from or who may have thrown the box into the water, is asked to call police at 843.237.1698.
