The woman who authorities say attempted to murder her child by throwing it a dumpster appeared in front of a judge today in Horry County.

Officials with the solicitor’s office asked the judge to prevent Shelby Taylor, the woman charged with attempted murder in the case, from coming anywhere near a child including the one she just gave birth as well as her 15-month-old.

Taylor was released from the hospital only a few hours before her court appearance on Saturday.

In addition to having no contact with any minors, the solicitor’s office also requested Taylor be placed on house arrest with a GPS monitor.

However Taylor’s attorney, Greg McCo                                                                                                                                                          ys as a lifelong Horry County resident she is not a flight risk.

The judge set bond at $10k with the stipulation she stay away from any minors including her own children unless she has permission from the Department of Social Services.

The judge did not require any type of GPS monitoring.

McCollum would not say to our cameras whether or not his client committed the crime.

“What I’m saying right now is that she is presumed innocent. The process has just started. We understand that people are concerned about it and rightly so. It’s premature for us to comment beyond that”

Taylor has no previous criminal record.

The judge ordered Taylor to appear again in court on June 19th.
