Boil water advisory issued for businesses impacted by water main break

FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) – The City of Florence issued a boil water advisory for those impacted by the water main break at the intersection of West Palmetto Street and South Irby Street.

It took public works crews more than 24 hours to repair the busted 12 inch pipe.

Director of Public Works, Michael Hemingway, says more than 20 businesses had to go without water during the repair process.
