LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – Lumberton Police are asking for the community’s help after discovering the body of a 25-year-old man in the driver’s seat of a car just after midnight Monday morning.
According to Captain Terry W. Parker, officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call in the yard of 2102 Gavintown Road around 12:24 a.m. Monday. Officers arrived and found a tan car shot multiple times with a deceased male sitting in the driver’s seat.
The driver has been identified as Marquese Antonio Nicholson, 25, of Lumberton.
The Lumberton Police Department is investigating Nicholson’s death as a homicide, and ask that anyone with information concerning the killing call Detective Dereck Evans at the Lumberton Police Department at 910-671-3845. The Lumberton Police Department is being assisted by the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation.
