FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – The Florence County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman whose body was discovered on train tracks in Florence Wednesday morning.
Florence police were called to Evans Street and Baroody Street around 7:16 a.m. about a train versus pedestrian fatality. The incident occurred on the railroad line adjacent to Church Street, according to Lt. Mike Brandt.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identifies the victim as Ruth Ann Santos, 43, of Florence.
The incident is under investigation by CSX Railroad, the Florence Police Department and the Florence County Coroner’s Office.
