Local churches sponsored a prayer service, blessing and unity ride to kick off the annual Atlantic Beach Bikefest.
It happened Thursday at HOPE Church, which meets inside Carolina Forest Elementary School.
Bikefest participants and bikers from Harley Davidson clubs then rode to Atlantic Beach Town Hall to show unity between the various motorcycle clubs.
Organizers called the prayer and ride a positive way to welcome bike rally visitors.
