Southeastern Grocers announced a recall involving 12-oz. packages of Southern Home Fat Free American Singles in all BI-LO and Harveys stores.
We’re told the cheese product has the potential to contain small pieces of plastic packaging. Consumers are urged not to consume the product and return it to the stores for a full refund.
To receive the refund, customers may present proof of purchase through a receipt or the product-packaging label.
The product UPC code is 0788001319 and has sell-by dates of Aug. 16, 2015 through Nov. 16, 2015. BI-LO and Harveys stores have received no reports of any issues associated with consumption of this product at this time.
BI-LO and Harveys have removing the 12-oz., single-serve prepared cheese products labeled Southern Home Fat Free American Singles from the cheese sections of all BI-LO stores throughout Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, along with Harveys stores throughout Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
The recall does not affect Winn-Dixie banner stores.
