There’s not much better than finding a great deal on a really expensive item. When you’re looking to buy big ticket items like a refrigerator or lawnmower, you may snag the best price if you wait until the typical time of year when those go on sale. Here’s what price tracking experts have found.
COMPUTERS:
Kiplinger says those tend to drop in price 3 times of the year.
1. Late March-early April when the Japanese Manufacturer cycle comes to an end.
2. Late August when back-to-school sales hit.
3. Black Friday-Cyber Monday
TV’s:
Thanksgiving week for off-brands
Late January- Early February for brand-names
REFRIGERATORS:
May, since manufactures introduce new models in the spring
HOME APPLIANCES:
September-October
You may also be able to snag deals on those 3-day holiday weekends, like Memorial Day and Labor Day.
GRILLS & PATIO FURNITURE:
Late summer early fall, though if you wait too long, the pickings are slim.
LAWNMOWERS:
April. Look for great sales starting April 7 as some stores like Lowe’s have “Spring Black Friday”
FURNITURE:
July and January, right before new models are released.
