BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – Bennettsville Police say investigators have identified a person of interest wanted for questioning in connection to a Wednesday afternoon shooting.
Lt. Larry Turner, of the Bennettsville Police Department, told News13 officers were called to 2nd Avenue in the Shady Rest community for reports of the shooting.
Turner says a man and a woman were inside of a car when someone fired multiple shots at it. Investigators say while no one was hit by the bullets, shattered glass from the car hurt the woman and she was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Turner also told News13 a nearby house and vehicle were damaged. Investigators say a bullet hit the house, but a woman inside was not injured.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Bennettsville Police Department.
