COLUMBIA, SC – Bennettsville native, Gloria Clay, recently won the Vegan Outreach BBQ Battle in Columbia, SC. Clay is a self-taught independent vegan chef. Clay also won the 2017 SC Vegan Mac Down.
A portion of the proceeds from the competition went to Cotton Branch Farm Animal Sanctuary in Leesville, SC.
According to the Vegan Outreach FaceBook page, the organization is an international, nonprofit organization working to end violence towards animals through education, community outreach, and making vegan options more accessible.
