BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – A Bennettsville man is behind bars after being arrested by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division agents on allegations that he sexually assaulted a child.
In a press release from SLED officials, agents detail how George Lanford McKeiver, 23, of Bennettsville, was charged with criminal sexual conduct first degree, a felony that carries up to 30 years in prison if McKeiver is convicted.
The arrest warrant for McKeiver says the Bennettsville man sexually assaulted a little girl, now 7-years-old, from January 2014 through December 2015 at McKeiver’s home on Evergreen Court in Bennettsville.
McKeiver is being held at the Marlboro County Detention Center.
