BBQ benefit raises $6,000 for Florence teen with cancer

Family, friends and supporters of a Pee Dee teenager held a bar-b-que fundraiser at Southside Free Will Baptist Church in Darlington Thursday.

Logan Gause has been battling brain cancer since she was 8.

She is now 17.

She has two tumors in her brain that are terminal.

Thursday, the community came together to help the Gause family.

Logan has undergone chemotherapy for 3 years and persevered through the Gamma Knife surgery and now fighting for her life with blood clots in the leg, heart, and lungs.

Thursday’s benefit sold 1,450 plates and profited more than $6000 Logan and her family.

School House Bar-B-Que Restaurant in Scranton catered the food for Thursday’s benefit.

On May 30, 2015, there will be a one-man boat raffle at South’s Finest Sporting Goods 3418 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501.

Tickets are $10 per person.

Proceeds benefit Logan’s Cancer Fund for medical expenses.
