HARTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) Several law enforcement agencies from around Darlington County came together for the first ever Battle of Badges fundraiser.
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office hosted the softball tournament at Byerly Park in Hartsville.
Participating agencies including the Fire District, Darlington County EMS, Hartsville City Fire Department and Darlington City Fire Department
“The guys work together all the time anyway you know, so there might be a little fun ya know a little ribbing, rivalry between the agencies but everybody in our county works together really good,” Darlington County Sherriff Wayne Bird said. “It wasn’t a surprise they could come together and pull this thing off.”
Proceeds from the event go towards the Darlington Relay for Life. The goal was to raise one thousand dollars
