PAWLEYS ISLAND (WBTW) – Aynor defeated Waccamaw 6-1 on Tuesday night at Waccamaw High School.
The Blue Jackets jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. Then in the third, they added more runs thanks to a couple of homers. Ridge Richardson launched a solo shot and his teammate Austa Hicks added another right after him.
In the fifth, Ian Prosser hit a bases-clearing double to provide three more runs for Aynor.
Waccamaw did get a run back in the bottom half of the inning but that was all they could manage against the Blue Jackets pitching. Richardson shutout the Warriors through the first four innings.
Next up, Waccamaw plays at Loris Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Aynor plays Thursday at Dillion. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
