The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman wanted in connection with credit card fraud.

On January 31  a woman entered the Food Lion located at 760 Mink Avenue in the Murrells Inlet Community of Georgetown County and completed a credit card transaction.

The transaction took place at a self-checkout lane, according to surveillance photos.

However, “the credit card was in the possession of the victim during the transaction,” officials said.

It’s unclear how the suspect was able to pull off the fraudulent transaction if the victim had the actual credit card.

If anyone can identify the suspect in the attached surveillance photographs or has any information regarding this incident, please contact the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at 843-546-5101.
