Author speaks at Women’s Leadership Conference in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – The 5th annual Women’s Leadership Conference is at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center Friday.

Hundreds of women from across the Eastern Carolinas hear keynote speakers, listen to seminars, and learn from authors, business owners, and other types of inspiring females from across the country.

Among this year’s speakers is Laura Schroff.  She wrote the book An Invisible Thread.

She told the crowd to share small acts of kindness every day.

“Throw a lifeline and lifelines come in all different shapes and forms, but if you open up your eyes and your heart to your surroundings, you can make a difference,” said Schroff.

Friday’s speakers lead up to the Celebration of Inspiring Women on Friday night.  Five women with ties to the Palmetto State will be honored for their achievements.
