MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach Police identify an attempted murder suspect after a man was found in an alley covered in blood Tuesday after being assaulted by a man several times with a razor blade.

According to a Myrtle Beach police report, officers were called to an alley behind Hungry Howies restaurant on South Kings Highway and found a 51-year-old man behind a commercial container sitting on the ground with blood all over him and his clothes. Several of the wounds were wrapped in packing tape and the man said he was in extreme pain.

Officers released a post Monday morning stating they are searching for attempted murder suspect Ricky McMillian. Officers say McMillian is wanted for attempted murder and possession of a weapon.

The victim told police a man named “Bird” did this to him over $20, and that “Bird” gave him the money to buy marijuana for which he failed to do. The victim told police the assault happened at the Sea Mist Hotel earlier in the morning.

Police say McMillian is considered armed and dangerous. He frequents the south end of Ocean Boulevard and may be driving a gray vehicle, officers add. McMillian may also be with a woman named Jessica Parson. Police say Parson has bright red hair, but no other description was given.
