At about 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening Horry County Police responded to an armed robbery at the Jackson Hewitt Tax Service location at 3371 Hwy 9, Little River.
The victim employee reported that a male came into the business, asked for the other employee, then grabbed her and forced her into a back room.
“The victim reported that the man held something in his hand and pushed it against her as if it was a weapon,” police said in a press release.
When the victim failed to cooperate the suspect took the victim’s money from her purse and left the business.
The man is described as a black male, about 40 years old, 5 ft. 8 in. tall, weighing about 180 lbs. He was wearing a dark jacket, dark pants, and what looked like a hat without a bill.
