Areas of Brunswick County under boil water advisory

BOLIVIA, NC (WBTW) – Brunswick County Public Utilities has issued a boil water advisory due to a water main break for all areas north of the Bell Swamp Water Tank.

The Brunswick County Emergency Services office says the areas affected are north of Hwy 17 and George II Hwy-Winnabow. Specific communities include Northwest, Sandy Creek, Leland, Navassa and Belville. Residents are being advised to boil any water for human consumption for at least one minute prior to use.
