GEORGETOWN, SC – At its annual luncheon on March 15th, the Georgetown County Women’s Hall of Fame will honor Anna Hyatt Huntington (1876-1973) as its 2016 inductee. A renowned American sculptor, Anna Hyatt Huntington will be recognized for her lifetime achievements and contributions to the life of Georgetown County. In 2016, Brookgreen Gardens, which was founded by Huntington and her husband, Archer, will celebrate the 85th Anniversary of its establishment as America’s first public sculpture garden.

The luncheon and program will take place on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. at the DeBordieu Club, 908 Bonnyneck Drive in Georgetown, SC. This event will help celebrate Women’s History Month. March is annually declared the month that promotes the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society.
