ANDREWS, SC (WBTW) – The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office says an Andrews man shot his own son and has been arrested for manslaughter in the killing.
According to Public Information Officer Carrie Weaver, deputies arrested Jeffrey Walters, 51, for manslaughter in the shooting death of his son, Jacob Walters.
Weaver explains deputies were called to a home on Daddy’s Lane in Andrews in reference to a shooting around 5 p.m. Saturday evening. After investigating the death, deputies charged Jeffrey Walters with one count of manslaughter. Walters was booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday.
Deputies have not released information in regards to what led to the shooting.
