BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  — A new survey reveals the average American is sleeping more and working less than they did a decade ago.

The annual Labor Department survey report in the Wall Street Journal shows Americans slept an average of 8 hours, 50 minutes a day in 2015. That’s 13 minutes more than compared to a decade ago.

Americans overall also spent a little bit less time working or commuting to work, but people with full-time jobs spent five more minutes at work per day.

The survey also reveals almost one in four Americans did some work from home last year.
