MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – ALDI, a unique, low priced grocery store chain, is opening a new store in Myrtle Beach, according to a company spokesperson.
According to Krysta Cearley, ALDI Salisbury Division Vice President, the grocery store chain plans to open a new location in the area of the 17 Bypass and Highway 544. While an official opening date has not yet been released, Cearley says the company plans to open this winter.
Currently, there are ALDI store locations throughout South Carolina, including Florence, Summerville, Orangeburg and other cities. Cearley says the grocery chain plans to open two to three more stores in the Palmetto State in 2016, but the exact locations of those future stores were not given.
ALDI explains on the company website that the grocery store chain offers low prices because of a focus on energy-saving stores, the use of recycled bags and cartons, and selling only the most commonly purchased grocery items.
