MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) — New plans submitted for the former site of the Hard Rock Cafe at Broadway at the Beach calls for the iconic restaurant pyramid to be demolished.
An architectural firm has submitted plans to the city to remove the pyramid in connection with the addition of Dave & Buster’s restaurant and gaming attraction. The pyramid has been a part of the Myrtle Beach landscape since 1995, but conceptual photos designed for Dave & Buster’s call for the Hard Rock building to be destroyed.
Although the pyramid may go, Hard Rock Cafe is staying at Broadway at the Beach. The legendary restaurant will move just inside Broadway’s nightlife area with a new look and feel.
City regulators will review plans for the Dave & Buster’s this week.
