Authorities responded to a report of an active shooter at the Navy Yard in Washington Thursday morning, a law enforcement source confirmed to CBS News.
CBS affiliate WUSA-TV reports officers from the U.S. Park Police and the district’s Metropolitan Police Department were responding.
Buildings at the facility were instructed to be locked down, and people were told to shelter in place.
There were no reports of casualties.
