Abandoned SC puppies suffer from horrible neglect under owner

CHARLESTON, SC – Two dogs were abandoned on Famun Rd in Orangeburg, SC and are in serious condition.

The two dogs, one female and one male, both between 16-18 weeks old, were infected with demodex, yeast infections, and hook worms. The diseases were so severe that the dogs’ breed could not be distinguished. It is unknown yet if they will fully recover and what the long-term affects to their eyes and skin will be.

More disturbing than their state is the fact that veterinarians have deduced that they were infected at 6 weeks old, meaning the infections were left to fester for 10 weeks before they were dumped.

Second Chance of Orangeburg Animal Rescue Coalition is asking the public for any information about the person or persons who abused these animals for so long. Their number is 803-534-0045.

They would like to tell the party responsible that a case of animal neglect and cruelty this serious is punishable by law.
