CBS NEWS – Just about any physical activity can reduce the risk of Alzheimers Disease. That’s according to researchers at UCLA and the University of Pittsburgh who found aerobic activities like walking, gardening or dancing can improve brain volume and reduce the chances of developing Alzheimers by up to 50 percent. U.S. health officials say a Zika vaccine could be ready for testing this fall. The mosquito born virus is hitting Puerto Rico very hard where there is concern thousands of pregnant women could be infected this year. And a long term study in Australia shows mothers who smoke may increase the risk of their children developing lung disease as adults Researchers say the risk is even greater for children who are exposed to maternal cigarette smoke and then take up smoking later in life.
