CBS NEWS – An implanted nerve stimulator is bringing promising results for people with central sleep apnea. The condition afflicts about a third of patients with heart failure and occurs when the brain fails to control breathing during sleep. The Zika virus could be a threat to some of the world’s most vulnerable regions. A new study finds that parts of Africa and the Asia-Pacific region have mosquitoes capable of carrying Zika, which has been linked to severe birth defects. Babies that are born extremely premature may need to watch their blood sugar well into adulthood. A study in the journal Pediatrics tracked newborns with a birth weight less than 2 point 2 pounds.
