9th annual Princess Gala raises money for victims of house fires

Dozens of girls and boys got to live out their favorite fairy-tales, while also supporting the American Red Cross.

They attended the 9th annual Princess Gala fundraiser in Myrtle Beach on Saturday. This was the first year organizers held the gala over two weekends. All the proceeds of the gala will help victims of house fires in Horry County.

Dozens children had breakfast with their favorite fairy tale characters at Travinia Italian Kitchen, and then marched in a parade through the Market Common. Afterwards, they all watched a princess movie at the movie theater.  Nicole Echols, Donor Development Officer for the American Red Cross, brought her daughters to the Princess Gala. She said, “This means the world to them. They love to get dressed up, be princesses for the day, and be around the rest of the royalty and princesses, and they love to make a wish with the fairy godmother. They can not wait.”
