PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WCBD/WBTW) – We now have 911 audio from last Friday’s shooting at TC’s Lounge on Pawley’s Island.
The Georgetown County Sheriff is taking steps to shut down the club after four people were shot and three died in the past eight months.
Sheriff Lane Crib sent out a press release and the headline is “enough is enough”—that pretty much sums up why they’re going to try to shut down this lounge.
The 911 calls from last Friday morning at about 3:00 a.m. paint quite a picture:
“I need an ambulance at 915 Petigru… I think somebody got shot.”
“I need an ambulance we’re at TC’s lounge on Pawley’s Island. I need an ambulance right now.”
“Come on out because they done shoot like eight times.” “They’ve shot like eight times? Is the person still shooting, still there?” “I don’t know.”
“I want to knock on these people’s door so I can get inside, I’m so scared right now.”
“I am going to stay on the line with you, I promise you I am not going to hang up on you, I’m gonna make sure until you see someone.”
“I don’t have time to get shot. I’m a mother of three and I just got out for the first time in so long.”
“I hear sirens and everybody’s leaving… oh, Jesus, I hope my sister OK.”
Three people were shot, and two of them died. The two people who died have been identified as Matthew Cobb, Jr., 28, of Hemingway and Tevin Washington, 28, of Georgetown.
The Sheriff’s Office is searching for Jarvis Trymaine Jamison, 30, in connection to the deadly shootings.
Back on July 24th of last year, there was another shooting. One man died after he was shot then.
Georgetown County Sheriff Lane Cribb said, “This behavior is not representative of the Pawleys Island community. They deserve better, and I will do everything in my power to make sure this location and every other one like it will cease to exist.”
We tried to get more information from the sheriff’s office on exactly what steps they are taking and when. At this point, everything they would like to say about this is in the press release.
That simply says they are taking the legal steps necessary to shut down the establishment.
