NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) -Members of the local chapter of the Quilts of Valor Foundation presented quilts to nine North Myrtle Beach police officers, who are also veterans, to honor them for their service.
According to the press release, Bryan Floyd, Keith Williams, Stephen Murphy,Robert Speedling, Ian Vaughn, James Martin, Hanna McLaurin, J. Philip Webster, Michael Baldasarre were recognized and given a quilt.
According to Joan Wobbleton, head of the local chapter of Quilts of Valor, volunteer teams donate their time and materials to make a quilt for veterans who have been touched by war.
The ceremony was held in the Council Chambers.
