FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Florence County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Timmonsville man for 9 counts of sex crimes against children.
According to a press release, deputies arrested Vance Ross, 44, and charged him with multiple counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct, First Degree.
According to Investigators, over a period of time beginning in December of 2009 and as late as July of 2014, Ross is alleged to have engaged in sexual battery with multiple child victims ranging in ages from 4 years to 8 years during the time of the assaults.
Under South Carolina law, a conviction for Criminal Sexual Conduct, First Degree carries a mandatory sentence of between 25 years and up to life in prison.
Ross is being held at the Florence County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing before a Circuit Court Judge.
