A seventh person was arrested after Horry County police seized guns, drugs, and money in the Longs area.
Thursday morning Horry County Police tweeted out that 29-year-old Deontray Lamontreal Bellamy has been taken into custody by U.S. Marshals.
Horry County Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit reponded to the Freemont/Longs area on Friday, January 18 to assist the U.S. Marshal Task Force with locating wanted person Durance McCray, according to a press release from HCPD. While in that area, officers “observed a vehicle that matched the description of one that McCray was possibly traveling in.”
When officers attempted to the stop the vehicle, it reportedly pulled into a private drive on Rober Lane, the release says. Two suspects allegedly ran on foot, one reportedly being McCray. Two other suspects were detained at the vehicle.
Officers set up a perimeter and were able to track the suspects to a residence on St. John Circle with the help of a K-9 officer. The suspects were located and arrested without incident.
These arrests “led to additional information which allowed narcotics detectives to secure a search warrant for the residence.”
While executing the search warrant, officers found and seized the following items:
- 2 reportedly stolen firearms
- 2 additional firearms
- 1 kilogram of cocaine
- 3.85 pounds of marijuana
- 108 Oxycontin pills
About 3.3 grams of crack cocaine were also found during a search of the suspect vehicle, adds the reelase. About $5,891 in U.S. currency was also seized from the suspects.

- Christopher Wilburn
Thursday morning the Horry County Police Department tweeted out that Deontray Lamontreal Bellamy was arrested by U.S. Marshals. He was wanted in connection with the case for trafficking cocaine.
