WEST HAVEN, Conn.– West Haven police are investigating after 600 marijuana plants were found at a daycare on Friday.
Police say they were called to a licensed daycare facility at 159 Norfolk Street after state inspectors conducted a compliance inspection and discovered marijuana plants growing in the backyard.
Officers discovered that a newly erected wooden fence was housing the plants. Police searched the property and found about 600 marijuana plants that were six to 10 feet tall.
The daycare facility was shut down by City Housing Inspectors and their license was revoked.
Police say arrests are forthcoming. The incident remains under investigation.
