6-year-old boy shot at SC elementary school in critical condition

GREENVILLE, SC  – One of two children injured in Wednesday’s shooting at Townville Elementary is still in critical condition at a hospital in Greenville.

6-year-old Jacob Hall was taken to the Greenville Memorial Hospital after the shooting Wednesday afternoon.

Hall’s parents released a statement Wednesday evening through the hospital thanking the community for their support and prayers.

“We appreciate the community’s support, especially the Townville Rescue Squad who treated Jacob onsite and brought him to the hospital,” said Rodger and Renae Hall, “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers and ask for privacy during this difficult time.”

The hospital expects to have an update on Jacob’s condition Thursday morning. If you would like to help, you can find the GoFundMe page here. 

As of Thursday evening, the page had collected over $56,000 for the family.

The Townville Fire Department and Fork Rescue Squad have set up a Blood Drive for Jacob Hall.
