6 nabbed after NC car theft ring busted, deputies say

HENDERSONVILLE, NC  – Six people have been arrested after an investigation into multiple motor vehicle thefts throughout Henderson County, according to deputies.

Deputies said Monday afternoon they conducted a roundup of suspects charged with crimes related to stolen vehicles.

Two stolen vehicles and a stolen registration plate were recovered, deputies say.

The following Hendersonville residents were arrested in the investigation: Benjamin Edwards, Christopher Fleischer, Cynthia (Bracken) McCarson, Michael Middleton, Richard Wesley Shrum and Wesley Whiteside.

Officials said additional items were seized and more charges are pending as the investigation continues.
