CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) – A 58-year-old Conway man was convicted of burglarizing a home in the Conway and sentenced to prison.

Lamont Seldon, 58, of Conway, was convicted of second-degree burglary, non-violent during a day-long trial, said Chris Helms, the assistant solicitor who prosecuted the case for the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

The incident occurred Aug. 29, 2016, in a residential section of Conway, Helms said. The homeowner confronted Seldon and identified him to law enforcement, which resulted in his arrest.

Seldon was sentenced to 10 years in prison, suspended upon service of five years in prison, Helms said.
