Thousands of people gathered by the Little River Historic Waterfront for the World Famous Blue Crab Festival.

This was the 37th year of the annual festival. The two-day festival included live music, almost 300 vendors for arts and crafts, local business and community organizations, and plenty of fresh seafood. Organizers said they were pleased the rain didn’t keep too many people away on Saturday.

“A little bit of rain didn’t dampen anybody’s spirits yesterday,” said Jennifer Walters, president of the Little River Chamber of Commerce. “They came out in full force and we’ve got a great crowd today. Just shows you how much the blue crab festival means to everybody because they’re coming out, even in iffy weather.”
