A toddler boy has died after a wreck Monday afternoon in Greenville.
The coroner’s office says Ashton Shawn Moore, age 3, was injured in the crash at the intersection of Mauldin Road and South Pleasantburg Drive around 2:45 p.m. on Monday.
Ashton, of Simpsonville, was rushed to a nearby hospital, but died there on Tuesday morning, officials said.
Investigators say the toddler was buckled into the back seat when the vehicle he was in collided with two other vehicles.
The wreck involved a large Pepsi truck and a car, the Greenville News reported.
The case remains under investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday.
