3 sought for credit card fraud in Pawleys Island, Murrells Inlet, sheriff says

A woman and two men are being sought by Georgetown County authorities after recent credit card fraud at area businesses.

The most recent incident reported by authorities involved 2 men and happened on January 28 when one man entered the Kangaroo Express located at 10459 Ocean Highway in area of Pawleys Island, Georgetown County Sheriff’s Officials said.

“The man completed a credit card transaction with a stolen credit card. Then the stolen credit card was used to make a purchase
at the Dollar General located at 10400 Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island” area, officials said in a press release.

This comes just after authorities on Friday released photos of a woman wanted for credit card fraud three days later in January.

On January 31  a woman entered the Food Lion located at 760 Mink Avenue in the Murrells Inlet Community and completed a credit card transaction.

The transaction took place at a self-checkout lane, according to surveillance photos.

However, “the credit card was in the possession of the victim during the transaction,” officials said.
